A Golden Flurry

It's chilly here as well. The birds are hungry, not many insects around yet. There was a frenzy at the feeders, in particular the Finch-tube.
One male was especially aggressive; he dive-bombed several others away.
Finally he took his seat in the apple tree.

Tripod, 200 mm lens and setting for multiple shots.

A golden flurry of American Goldfinches:

  3. I just posted my first American Goldfinch, I don't think I'd ever seen one before. Your photos are so clear. I love the flying shots with them coming and going. I'm starting to recognize the birds - that bright yellow with the black cap was unmistakable. :)

I love getting a comment from you now and then. Be patient, they will appear, I just have to see first if they are OK to publish. No anonymous any more. I am getting too much spam.
