Easter Sunday- start of the gardening season!

I must have hit the wrong button because this posting
did not get published on Sunday.
Here it is now.

What did we do on a beautiful Easter Sunday?
The day started with Easter Mass and
an Easter Brunch at our little Anglican Church.
And finally the temperatures crept over the 50 F mark (10°C),
and in the afternoon it was quite nice to be outside.
I decided to take my folding bike and go
for a leisurely ride around in the neighbourhood.
(I was too lazy to take around the tripod,
just left the camera on the ground.)
Along the road I captured more signs that spring is on it's way.
Coltsfoot, (Tussilago farfara)
The first bright colours in all the winter-brown surroundings.

Back at home I took a look around at my garden while my feathery friends were watching my movements.

Finally, I couldn't resist any longer, grabbed the gardening tools and started cleaning up my flower beds.

With that I declare:
My gardening season for officially started! :))
May I dig down my rawhide until it is soft and mushy???
Definitely not! They are too expensive to just be dug down, Molly.
It is still a long way from having fresh vegetables.
Tomorrow I will begin to prepare my vegetable garden!

  2. Love the garden and the signs of spring. You'll have lots of good eating out of there in just a few months.

  3. Hi Bea, love the photos! What will you plant in your garden beds? Enjoy gardening - that's one of my favorite things to do!

  4. I love your sparrow photos - you can tell it's cold outside when they are so fat and fluffed up, right?

Beautiful Molly - she's pretty happy with that big rawhide bone.

I DO miss having a garden. It's work, but so satisfying. :)

I love getting a comment from you now and then. Be patient, they will appear, I just have to see first if they are OK to publish. No anonymous any more. I am getting too much spam.
