Howling winds and no desire to go outside made me walk into the cooking department.
I found some colourful cookie photos and thought that I should give it a try. I could find my cookie forms otherwise I would have cut them into hearts.
After JP. came back from his photo tour we had a nice "cuppa" coffee and pink strawberry flavoured cookies. You want one?
Maybe I will make green christmas tree cookies in December......
PS.
JP captured a ghost at the cliffs.
Do you SEE it too?

For recipe go below
Ingredients:
3-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1-1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened
(360g, but I used only 2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
2 pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin, divided
(I used 1 pck for 4 servings)
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
How to:
Heat oven to 400°F.
Mix flour and baking powder. Beat butter in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Add sugar and 1 pkg. gelatin; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass. Sprinkle with remaining dry gelatin mix.
Bake 8 to 10 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 3 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
They look and sound very tasty, yummy!
ReplyDeleteNext time I will try and mix some dried strawberries into the dough. That should make them even better!
DeleteThat ghost cloud is pretty eerie - really. Very clever of you to see it. :) Hope you had a nice Halloween.
ReplyDeleteIt was calm, not hordes at the door. We could eat it all alone :))
