When the day dawned the storm was over us
with strong winds and whiteout.
We only left the house for brief sequences
Otherwise I went from window to window to look at nature's force.
By 4 PM in the afternoon the whole thing was over and
the snow showers stopped.
Hubby started to dig out his van.
Luckily a helpful neighbour came over to clear out the driveway
were about 15 inches (38 cm)
of hard packed snow had accumulated.
Otherwise we would have been shovelling until Easter!
Yeeehaaa!
No power outages here, no freezing rain either.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Don't put your shovel away just yet. It only stopped for a few minutes here today and is still at it. It is also heading your way. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Gotta love those kind of neighbors, we had that for one like that for over thirty years in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteI find it's all in the attitude. It's a strange thing indeed, but I still get a little giddy when there's a "big storm". It's supposed to thaw on Friday though, so that'll make it messy. *poop*. :(
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for helpful neighbors! Beautiful views, though. I love the snow and when I lived in it, I'd get so excited when snow was predicted. I'd go to the local grocery store and stock up, I had a wood stove with lots of wood, an it was wonderful. I worked at home, so I didn't have to drive anywhere. My customers dropped off their work at my house. That was such a nice time in my life. I'd love to live in the snow again. :)
