Caulifower and Butter crumbs


Cauliflower and Butter Crumbs



What a difference in temperature, one day northern winds and cold, the other southern winds and balmy warm. We enjoyed the warm sunshine and long warm evening outside. 
Our meal was a simple cauliflower with butter crumbs. Long since we had that type of vegetable. They have become quiet expensive over the last years.
For two: 
1/2 head of cauliflower
1 tbs butter
bread crumbs or crackers.
Steam the cauliflower until it is softened, melt butter and roast the bread crumbs or crushed crackers in the butter. Serve the cauliflower seasoned with salt and nutmeg, topped with bread crumbs.
Side dishes: new cooked potatoes, what ever meat is at hand. Cold or warm. We had some meat loaf.
Welch ein Temperaturunterschied! Den einen Tag stürmischer Nordwind und nun lauwarme Luft aus dem Süden. Wir genossen den warmen Sonnenschein und den langen warmen Abend draussen.
Heute gab es seit langem mal wieder Blumenkohl mit in Butter gerösteten Brotkrumen, oder Salzcracker.
Für 2 
1/2 Blumekohl
1 Eßl Butter
Brotwürfel oder zerbröselte Salzcracker
Den Blumekohl in wenig Wasser gar dünsten. Die Butter in einer Pfanne zerlassen  und die Brotwürfel oder Crackerbrösel darin bräunen. Den Kohl mit Salz und Muskat würzen und die Butterbrösel darüber geben.
Dazu neue Kartoffeln und was man so im Hause hat. Kaltes Fleisch oder wie wir - es gab noch ein Stück Hackbraten dazu.
Sommeren kom tilbake for enda en dag. Det var deilig varm og vi satt ute lenge utover kvelden. 
Til middagen ble det blomkål, en sjelden grønnsaker på matbordet vårt. Det er blitt så dyrt å kjøpe. 
For 2 personer:
1/2 blomkål
1 ss smør
brødterniner eller knuste salt kjeks
Kålen ble kokt mør i litt vann. Melt smøret og brun brødterniner i det. Server kålen kryddret med salt og nutmeg. Hell brødterninger eller salt kjeks over det hele.
I tillegg: nykokte poteter og kald eller varm kjøtt. Vi hadde noe skiver med kjøttpudding atått.
