Steak, Carrots and Peas


1/2 pound meat, 2 carrots, 2 cups of peas, 1/2 onion(minced), 3-4 potatoes. 
I got a piece of "round cut" the other day and decided to prepare this for dinner today.
It looks kind of a steak to me, only 1/2 inch thick and, I cut the meat in thin stripes for braising. Season with pepper and paprika. First 1 set to cook my potatoes and the vegetables, 2 carrots and 2 cups of  frozen peas. 15 Minutes before the potatoes are done heat up 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan and braise the meat just until it is browned, ca 3 minutes on high heat. Put it aside on a dish and cover it. Fry the onion and add the vegetables for a minute or two. That's it.

Geschnetzeltes vom Rind mit Erbsen und Karotten
500 g Hüftsteak vom Rind, 2 Karotten, 250 g gefrorenen Erbsen, 1/2 Zwiebel (in Würfel), 3-4 Kartoffeln. Das Steak in Streifen schneiden und mit Pfeffer und Paprika würzen. Die Kartoffeln und das Gemüse zum Kochen bringen. 15 Minuten bevor die Kartoffeln gar sind 2 Eßl Öl in einer Pfanne erhitzen und das Fleisch kurz und scharf braten. Herausnehmen und zur Seite stellen. Die Zwiebel anbraten und das Gemüse in der Pfanne schwenken.


Stekt biff med erter og gulrøtter
500 g biffkjøtt (fra bakparten), 2 gulrøtter, 250 g fossne grønne erter, 2-3 poteter, 1/2 løk (i terninger), Skjærer kjøttet i strimler og smaker til med pepper og paprika. Så sett poteter og grønnsaker over. 15 Minuter før de er ferdig kokt varm 2 ss matoilje i en panne og fres kjøttstrimler inntil de er brun, ca 3 min.
Sett kjøttet til side og stek løken. Tilføy til slutt gulrøtter og erter og bland med løken.
